SCHOOL READY PROGRAM

Overview

Willowbrae Academy prepares your preschooler for public/private school. In our School Ready Program, students play an active role in their learning process. With teaching methods including Montessori, High Scope, and Emergent, children are encouraged to become independent, responsible, and confident learners, developing a solid foundation for future success in school.

Willowbrae Academy’s curriculum (Willowbrae Young Scholars, BodyBreak KID FIT and Willowbrae Creative Kids) is delivered through activities which include: free play, guided play, large and small group activities, and outdoor exploration. We encourage and promote positive social interaction and develop the many tools necessary to ensure a positive transition to “big” school and a lifelong love of learning.

07:00 am - 08:00 am	Good morning (arrival, free play)
08:00 am - 09:00 am	Transition to individual classrooms and Willowbrae Young Scholars (table top, sensory)
09:00 am - 09:15 am	Tidy up, washroom
09:15 am - 09:25 am	BodyBreak KID FIT
09:25 am - 09:45 am	Morning snack
09:45 am - 10:30 am	Willowbrae Young Scholars (small groups, circle, language, music)
10:30 am - 11:00 am	Willowbrae Creative Kids (art activity)
11:00 am - 11:45 am	BodyBreak KID FIT (outside, gross motor play)
11:45 am - 12:45 pm	Lunch, clean up
12:45 pm - 02:45 pm	Nap time
02:45 pm - 02:55 pm	Washroom
02:55 pm- 03:05 pm	BodyBreak KID FIT
03:05 pm - 03:30 pm	Snack and clean up
03:30 pm - 04:15 pm	Willowbrae Creative Kids (circle, stories, music)
04:15 pm - 05:15 pm	Clean up and BodyBreak KID FIT (outside, gross motor play)
05:15 pm - 06:00 pm	Combine classes and Willowbrae Young Scholars (table top activities, free play)
06:00 pm	Academy closes, good night!
