Amy Allaby
Amy brings a wealth of experience and dedication to early childhood education. With a passion for both music and child development, Amy's journey began early, achieving her Grade 8 Diploma in Music/Theory from the Royal Conservatory of Music by the age of 16. Her commitment to nurturing young minds was evident from the outset, as she joined the Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association (ARMTA) and established her own piano teaching business while working as a nanny.
Amy’s career has been a seamless blend of her two passions—music and early childhood education. For a decade, she operated an accredited Reggio Emilia-based day home while also teaching music lessons. During this period, she earned her Early Learning and Childcare Diploma from Bow Valley College and completed the FLIGHT curriculum course at MacEwan University.
In 2018, Amy transitioned into a management role at the YMCA, further honing her skills in the childcare sector. Over the past 27 years, she has collaborated with esteemed organizations and programs including Genesis (100 Voices Program), ARQUE, AHS Early Literacy Programs, Parent Link, Little Warriors Training, Respite Care, FSCD, Over the Rainbow, Community Options, and Sedan Support Centre.
Amy is deeply committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child and family is respected and valued. She strives to create a learning atmosphere that emphasizes safety, play, and curriculum-based education, supported by skilled educators dedicated to guiding children toward their full potential. Alongside her professional achievements, Amy enjoys outdoor activities, including camping, biking, and swimming, and cherishes family game nights with her husband and three children.
