Rizchellyn Cruz
Rizchellyn Cruz is a dedicated early childhood education professional with years of progressive leadership experience at Willowbrae Academy since 2018. She began her journey as a Preschool Teacher, where she spent four years creating meaningful learning experiences and supporting holistic child development.
Recognized for her commitment and natural leadership, Rizchellyn transitioned into the roles of Preschool Lead Teacher, Floor Supervisor and later Assistant Director. In these positions, she focused on enhancing program quality, mentoring staff, and building strong partnerships with families.
In September 2025, Rizchellyn proudly steps into the role of Director. She brings a well-rounded perspective to leadership, combining hands-on classroom experience with a strategic approach to early learning and care.
Originally from the Philippines and now living in Canada, Rizchellyn brings a unique perspective to her work. She values diversity, community, and teamwork. She works hard to make sure every child and family feels welcome and supported, and that teachers have what they need to succeed.
As Director, Rizchellyn is focused on helping teachers grow, keeping strong connections with families, and making sure the centre offers high-quality care and education. Her goal is to create a place where children are excited to learn, families feel at ease, and educators feel confident and supported.
