Sukhi Sandhu
Sukhi brings over 14 years of experience in the childcare field, working in a variety of roles supporting children from infancy through to school age (0–12 years). She has been working in early childhood education since 2012 and holds certifications as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Infant Toddler Educator, and Special Needs Educator. She also holds professional certifications as a Life Coach and Consultant, providing coaching and support to children (0–18 years) and adults within the community.
Throughout her career, Sukhi worked with CEFA Surrey as an educator and spent over a decade with CEFA, progressing through leadership roles within CEFA Richmond, including Vice Principal, Principal, and ultimately Executive Director. She has also worked as a Senior Manager with Burnaby Family Life, where she oversaw six city-operated childcare centres. In addition, Sukhi brings experience in coaching and child development consulting, supporting individuals, families, and community organizations.
Above all, Sukhi’s most meaningful role is being a mother to her two boys, who inspire her every day to grow both personally and professionally. One of her children currently attends Willowbrae Langley, making her connection to the community both professional and deeply personal.
After moving permanently to Surrey, Sukhi chose to stay closer to home to better balance family life while continuing her passion for early childhood education. This path led her to Willowbrae Langley in July 2022, where she serves as Centre Director and Area Director, overseeing both the Langley and Squamish locations.
Sukhi’s greatest strengths lie in building strong relationships and fostering open communication with children, families, and educators. She believes that every child is unique and deserves a supportive, balanced, and nurturing learning environment where they can thrive at their own pace.
She is passionate about creating a strong sense of community within the centre, where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and grow. Willowbrae Langley is proud to be a community of dedicated educators and families who come together to celebrate milestones, achievements, and everyday moments of learning and joy.
