Shuyi (Lily) Wu
Shuyi graduated with Early Learning and Child Care Diploma from Bow Valley College in Alberta in 2014. Over the years, Shuyi has had the pleasure of working with children ranging from Infant to School Age. Shuyi says, "I am passionate about helping children learn and grow by exploring nature and the community around them. It is a real joy and extremely rewarding to watch their growth and development on a daily basis.” Based on Shuyi’s diverse background, she speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Spanish. A fun fact about her, she loves to travel, and she has had the amazing opportunity to visit ten countries off her list! Shuyi believes that is important to create a safe and warm environment for ECE setting, it helps children to develop their five domains (social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language). Every child is unique, and as her being one of the educators, she believes that mentoring our children to explore their interests, needs and abilities, and create the best curriculum will lead them to find out their desired path. As per Shuyi’s philosophy, she believes that with her being a leader, she is capable to build a professional team that will provide a high Early Childhood Education standard and give the best experience to our Willowbrae Academy family. Shuyi looks forward to meeting all the children and their families at Willowbrae Academy!
